I worked with Phoenix for a total of maybe 3 years, left them last year when straight transcription seemed to be running out and they were transitioning people to transcription with office duties (like scheduling appointments) mixed in.

I had no complaints when I worked for them. QA was fair and they didn't micromanage,but left me alone to work. EMDAT isn't my favorite platform but I've definitely been on worse. Been with a lot of MTSOs and they are one I would consider going back to, in fact I applied to their current ad. About the work flow, when I was with them they trained me on a number of accounts and so I stayed busy until they started going in this new direction; looking at their current ad they may have abandoned that, I don't know. I only worked with them part-time, I think their minimum then was 600 lines/day. Hope this helps.

I've been there for about a year and really like it. Very nice people to work with. They treat ICs the way they are supposed to be treated. They leave you alone and never bother you and pay is always on time (twice a month). You set your own schedule. They only ask for a minimum of 600 lines a day, which is more than reasonable. My account is usually fairly busy and I don't run out of work too often. I've overall been very happy there and plan on staying.

Phoenix Medcom requires a business card from each IC contracting with them. I was an IC many years ago and didn't even have a contract then; have been an employee ever since that time.
