Phoenix MedCom anyone heard ? - wondering

Just wondering if anyone has heard from Phoenix yet?
I did - HMT2

I got an email saying thank you for your interest, I have attached an "about us" for you to review. If you are interested in testing, please let me know. I told her absolutely as long as an IC was actually an IC there and not committed to set hours. Then I never heard back from her. I don't know if their communication is that slow or they require you to work set hours as an IC. But that is something I just will not do.

Thanks for the info, gosh, are you the only one who heard back from them? Please post if you get a reply re: the IC hours, thank you!

So...I finally got tired of waiting, emailed her back and said I am still very interested in taking the test. (Granted this was replying again to the email SHE sent me that was still attached to the resume I sent her.) Then she said, "I'm sorry we get a lot of applicants, can you tell me your experience again?" Umm.....scroll up and look at my resume and the last email you sent me. With stuff like this, I just said goodbye and good riddance. Sadly.

I have gotten as far as "sending paperwork." This job sounds scary because they expect you to produce for a "complicated" account within two days (said in About Us) with minimal instruction. I will have to buy $99 software license to do this account and give them a business card before any payment is made (I haven't had to have a business card in 14 years, so will have to have them made just to have one card). I am going to give it a try, but does not sound like a winning situation. Phoenix let me pick my "commitment" regarding hours (they do not set hours as you are IC). Guess I will know soon.
What kind of software license? - Wondering

What kind of software license are you required to purchase? That sounds pretty shady.
Just make a business card on your computer - and send to them.

I have worked for them in the past and that is what I did. Never had any problems. I have never had to purchase a software license; however, but maybe it depends on the account you are on. They did not require me to work set hours just as long as my lines were typed per my contract. They are an up and up company. I liked them. Nice people.

I got the same email from them you did, passed, the test, and am currently awaiting the paperwork. Did things go well for you? I am extremely nervous and would love to hear your experience so far! They also said the account was "very technical". That is worrisome!

Anyone Work For Phoenix MedCom Nov 20, 2012I saw this company in a job posting and want to try a more flex schedule. I work part time right now but have to work weekends and am getting tired of it.
