Know of any companies where one can work under 20 hours a week? - Almost part-time

I'm looking to work preferably 16 hours a week. It can be IC, statutory, or employee status. I want to keep yearly income around $9000. I will consider 20 hours. Thanks in advance.

[ In Reply To ..]With assistmed, whether you are part time or full time, they require one weekend day no matter what! and NO. They do not always have work, anymore than any other company. They are a junior Nuance! BtDt, They have pooled work, where you fight with 15 other ICs trying to get your lines. There is a LOT of cherry picking and nobody cares. a lot of ESL, as well. Good luck.

[ In Reply To ..]Wow! My experience with AssistMed is not like what you say. In over a year, I have not run into cherry picking as you put it and what company doesn't require some weekend work? Also I find the managers helpful and when I send an E-mail to any of them, I get a response. I am on 5 accounts and when they put me on one I absolutely loathed, I asked to be taken off of it and they did immediately. Guess everyone has different experiences in this field.

[ In Reply To ..]on the goody list then. i was there for 8 years and hated every second of it... it was so unfair all the way around. i highly doubt they have changed that much when there are still others complaining about the same things i mentioned above. but then, the managers always have their favorites!! :-P

I've got great experience and when I'm scheduled to work, I'm there working. What the hell difference does it make if I only want to be scheduled for 6 hours on four of my weekdays? Would they rather I said I would work 8 hours and actually only work 6 like a lot of people? I am PT now but cannot, due to medical reasons, work the 24 hours required.
