Is anyone from Transcend thinking of applying at Nuance? - strawberry

Just to go ahead and make the change and hopefully avoid some of the stress with the transition?

I see that Nuance has ads up for MTs. I'm also concerned about whether or not they will hire all MTs from Transcend during the buyout.

I bet right now that Nuance would look at Transcend employees applying right now as a conflict of interest.

if they did hire a Transcender before the transition, they would not likely meet your current cpl rate, schedules or put you on the same accounts. When you are blended in, it actually comes with its own benefits in that way.

You would be on a Nuance acct as Transcend hasn't merged yet. That goes without saying actually. You also have no guarantee that Nuance will keep you with the same acct during the transfer.

There is no guarantee that Nuance is going to hire all Transcend MTs during the transition either.

When Nuance bought Webmedx, it offered all of the employees jobs. I would think this is something that was part of the buy-out agreement. Whether you stay after the Nuance paycuts and benefit changes kick in is up to you.

I was just sitting here thinking about how crazy it is that I have not had a line increase for 7 YEARS, and I am so disgusted with myself for putting up with it for so long. Then I ran across this post. Ugh! The thought of actually having my line rate DECREASE when Nuance takes over completely nauseates me. Talent, experience, dependability and loyalty mean NOTHING in this industry anymore. I guess the only option for those of us in the industry who want pay commensurate with our education, talent and time is to leave the industry and start over. At the age of 42, I am forced to go back to school if I want to feed my family. It is a darn, dirty shame.

what if some of the clients do not want to go with Nuance? Recently, Transcend hired quite a few MTs for a pretty big account that fell through and they had to place them with other accts. I really believe that is why we run out of work now.

There is no guarantee that Nuance will have a place for every MT that is with Transcend now.

I'm actually getting ready to take the Nuance test this evening and started reading the posts and now I'm having second thoughts. I would be working on the clinic side from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. EST Sun-Thurs and now I'm wondering if I'll be wasting my time since it seems like there won't be any work. I'm trying to decide whether to apply at Transcend, Nuance or MQ. Any inputs from those MTs that work at these 3 companies? Well, well, well. Looks like some of the Transcend QA hagathas must be QAing Nuance's work now because they are marking off for every little thing! I get marked off because I forgot to add a dash. I formally worked for Transcend Services and would advise people not to work for this organization. They are now switching over to Nuance, but stay away from them. They are extremely critical of everything you do. This is supposedly because they think they have such high standards, but they just enjoy being mean and critical to transcriptionists, who pay everyone's salaries. Used to work for Transcend and loved that you input your own time card. You could put down 8 hours even if it took you 10 to make your lines/$. Sorry to see employees will now have to use that same stupid clock we all do. Not hard, just a pain in the (&*&. When we were acquired by Nuance we still use our old system with time clock built in and the new one too. Then the reduction in wages. All in all... not a joyful union. My sympathies are ...

I am at about the last straw with this company. Just a few minutes ago I got an e-mail from TSM about the "gym membership reimbursement" program. It was to remind us "full-timers" to get our attendance records in to HR so that we can get reimbursement. Now, I have never even heard of this program.
