I work for them and while it is a great company to work for, great people, great accounts, they did cut our pay across the board 2 years ago and I find it frustrating that on my account I work my butt off and pick up all the slack but yet everyone gets paid the same. Doesn't seem fair. However,I never run out of work and the people truly are nice people. I just wish we got paid what we deserved.

Forget above post. - lana

I saw the ad and this is completely different than their normal accounts. Must be a new client.

Saw ad too, but - me

I saw their ad on MTjobs, posted 11/14, if same. When I went to their site and clicked on submit application, it told me all jobs were already filled (probably got a lot of response cuz ad said paid 0.095, don't ever see that amount any more).

It was .095 cpl for VBC (visible black characters), no spaces (nm) - anon

They used to be a WONDERFUL company - No longer!

Inhealth used to NEVER advertise, because MTs just didn't leave. Now, they have constant pay cuts, adding responsibilities daily, no longer pay for spaces, require you to work every single weekend (There is ZERO exceptions to this rule) and QA is very, very picky!

Things much have changed. - anon

I transcribe my docs and have no other responsibilities, they do pay spaces and I don't have to work any weekend if I don't want to. I'm not sure about any of the things the above poster wrote. My QA person is fantastic and gives good feedback. The only thing I do agree with is that they have cut pay. I believe it is anywhere from .07 to .08 depending on the amount they can contract with the client. Accounts are starting to go more and more to EMR though, so the future is unsure.

Is It Just Me, Or Do The Words Clinical Documentation Specialist Mean
Jun 05, 2015

Ahima certainly gives it a different spin than MT, and an article at Study.com lists desired or common requirements as associate's or bachelor's degree, with nursing, HIM, or health information technology, and medical coding expertise.  So where does Nuance get off expecting "lowly" MTs to do this stuff, with 100% flawless accuracy, on lowly MT pay having to Google everything? I mean, they do not even pay us enough to be "lowly" MTs, and yet expect us to Google and verify that do ...

Clinical Data Analyst -- Advice Needed?
Feb 27, 2015

I have been checking out job openings at my local hospitals for the past few weeks. This morning, an opening for a Clinical Data Analyst came up. The requirements for the position are high school diploma or equivalent and Medical Record Terminology or similar experience, etc. It does not list a salary range, but from what I know CDAs are paid very well. I was always under the impression that they required a degree (which I do not posess), but that does not seem to be the case here. Anyway, my ...

Anybody Know Where Any Documentation Regarding Exactly How The QA
Mar 20, 2010

submission line count is calculated?  Number of characters in the words filled in by QA divided by total pay period line count?  Number of characters in the document submitted?  Knowing MQ, it's probably the latter.  So... if I submit 1 report with a 90 line count doc and 1 word, I'm dinged more than five 10 line count docs with 2 lines (i.e., 130 characters) of blanks in each?  There are doctors with such bad accents+mumbling in my group that they can end up w ...

Documentation Errors
Sep 15, 2010

I work in a surgery center/clinic in medical transcription. I have never worked in the medical field before, so I'm not sure what is acceptable. We get massive amounts of documentation errors from the nurses in the surgery center and in the clinic. Is this usually acceptable?! Is it normal for a transcriptionist to be required to scan over the chart and correct all of their errors or should this be the responsibility of the nursing staff? It's DRIVING me up a wall! I'd say 75 ...

Domestic Medical Documentation Act
Apr 23, 2014

I think any law that forbids offshoring of American medical documentation would have to be very thorough to address a number of potential problems. In keeping with this, I have a list below of some that I've thought might come up under such a law unless they are specifically addressed. These are possible loop holes that could really mess things up. 1.  It would create a sudden demand for many more MTs in this country. That's awesome, obviously, but I fear this may cause medical pr ...
