Imedx and upcoming Town Hall meeting - curious

I am curious what other MTs at Imedx think about the upcoming Town Hall meeting at Imedx. I feel it is another effort, just like the employee suggestion program, to try to put a pretty face on a very ugly, dirty company. I think Imedx perhaps made a mistake when they bought out TranTech, a good-sized company with many long-time, good, intelligent MTs who were used to being treated with respect. We simply are not going to sit idly by when treated like crap and not put up a fuss.

I can't help but feel that karma is biting Imedx in the butt at the moment, and they are scrambling. Their attempts at salvage are starting to feel desperate. But then again, maybe this is just my perception.

Imedx, we see you for what you are, and putting on a face full of make-up is not going to change the horror of what is underneath.

EXACTLY!!! Someone is forgetting we are US MTs!! Our intelligence is still there, no matter who we work for! LOL

Maybe the TT group of MTs will make Imedx a better company?

I would love for Imedx to turn it around and show the rest of the industry how to treat its good, solid MTs right and make it THE place to work, where MTs would kill to get their foot in the door there, willing to work as a team again and put in extra hours at tough times b/c the MTs were confident Imedx would compensate generously for lines the MTs covered, any extra work they put in.

What a dream company Imedx COULD be if they would just take the lead. That kind of reputation COULD bring in new healthcare accounts all on its own.

Maybe it was a moment of delirium? I just look at Google and Zappos and some of those innovative companies, and people are breaking down the doors to work for them b/c of the great way they treat employees.

but unless they're talking about making changes to help benefit US, who cares? The "changes" they've implementing are of more benefit to them than us. Until they start talking about compensating me for what I offer to the company (in wages, incentives, and all the extras that I have to do to give them good report drafts), then I'm still feeling taken advantage of, which is why I don't go above and beyond like I used to do. I want to be able have a life, and if they want to intrude on that life, I want to be compensated fairly for it. It doesn't make sense that I make less now than when I first entered the field 9 years ago, so I can only imagine how others who have spent the majority of their lives in this industry are feeling about being devalued and taken advantage of.

I guarantee you I won't be one of the "chosen few" to participate with questions in this town hall meeting next week, I cause too much trouble by sending e-mails throughout the year to Vern and Amy, never to any avail. I listened to the Mercedes town hall. What did you think? They did say VBC was coming. Does this sound like Bayscribe to you? They said VBC was coming, but rate of pay would not change. Shall we make our guesses? Wonder if the new pay scale will be an across the board percentage reduction in rates or will everyone be moved to the bottom rate of 8 and 4? What about the people recently hired who make 8 and 4? Will they go even lower?
