I hope that you do not mind. They are not about SS but about something else.
Thanks again and good luck!
Congrats, LTMT! Were you able to score another position before resigning? - Good for you!

Not asking you to name the new place, if you have one lined up, just hoping you found something worthy of your skills and dedication :-)
Mucho congratulations!
Thanks to you both. Yes, I found another position. As unhappy as I was, sm - LTMT

I still would not just quit without something else lined up. I am cautiously optimistic. :-)

What company is SS? First one that comes to mind is Soft Scrybe (sp)
This was just too funny not to share! :)
To Wombs it May Concerta: I would like to deworm you cat eye am resounding from my apposition from the nuisance Company effective repeatedly. Thank you for the rapport of tougher impunity that you improvised me during my torture with your company.
If I can be of any resistance during this opposition, please field free 2 fret me know. I would be graduate to dismiss you any day I can. ...
I work for 9 specialty docs so I type a lot of letters. Two of the docs have me stamp their outgoing letters with their name. One doc has a manual signature line. Our physician insurance company representative was recently here doing an audit and said that is not legal and that the docs must sign each and every letter or at least initial them. Can you tell me if she is correct? Is there somewhere where I can actually get some documentation as to the ...
The letter offers me to join in a lawsuit against Transcend. Have you received one, and if so, if you plan to join the lawsuit, would you share your reasoning? Do you think one might be "blacklisted" for joining such a lawsuit? Also, I do not understand how they can sue Transcend if it is now part of Nuance? ...
Hi all my fellow MTs:) I was given a letter of reprimand, informal warning, that I signed in too early, I think it was 10 minutes early, because the day before I had logged in 7 minutes late, yet they told me it was okay to go over at the end of the shift, just don't log in early. Now, I have that letter in my file (my first notice). I also have not gotten a good line count because I have been OOW almost every day of the week, yet they assured me they were working on somet ...
Apparently they are making us switch to United Healthcare (probably cheaper I
I think Kaiser is only in CA (???). I really like my doctor at Kaiser but I guess I'll have to say good bye to her.
As for United, could anyone give me any info on this plan, whether you like it, what the insurance premiums are like for a single person, etc. Any info appreciated :)
Thanks!

This is it! Been waiting for this letter in the mail since July 23 to make it official in my mind and received the boxes to return the CPU and monitor.
I went to college with a degree in Medical Transcription/Medical Secretary (our TSMs have NO college degree). I cannot believe I gave 26 years of my life by working every holiday, having 4 (5 day) vacations in 26 years, being employee of the month 3 times over the years, giving up family time and plans because I am scheduled to work, ...
I had to look up what it was because I had never heard of it. Turns out they are given to poor folks. I don't know what made them send it to me but it does have my name on it so I know it is for me. They must know I work at Transcend.
It is only good for vocational training, cannot be for more than one year and must focus on skills necessary for securing entry level employment. I don't know what direction to go in from here. I ...
For the record, I have been happily employed by Nuance for 5 years and I still love it. I do both editing and straight transcription and I average $16.00 to $18.00 an hour easily and I maintain better than 99% accuracy. They do pay for spaces (some companies don't, and that makes a big difference in total line count) and they pay ON TIME, EVERY TIME. Their line rate is comparable or better than where I've worked in the past. I have worked for companies before an ...
A few weeks ago, for no reason that I can find, I cannot get the first letter of a sentence to be in all caps automatically, (unless I do it manually.) The same for the letter " I " by itself when typed. It was always automatic and now all of a sudden it is doing this and I cannot figure out how to change it back. Has anybody else had this problem, if so, how did you fix it?
Thanks, appreciate the help ...
I just got a call that I am hired for a job that I interviewed for yesterday (YAY!). My question is besides my CCM or whatever her title is now who else do I copy on my letter of resignation? And where do I find their names because I don't know who is above her. Thanks in advance!
P.S. If you are looking for a job just don't give up. I've been looking for 3 years! ...
After all the Fiesa I have reviewed for free...all the ! emails I have read and responded to immediately for free....all the time I have spent checking my email for a response to an email I sent, never to hear a response, for free....all the reversals I have requested on my own time....all the time I spent just last Christmas alone checking for work that never came ...the countless hours I have spent waiting for work and coming back to check over and over again.....the time I have spent switchin ...
I recently submitted my resignation to WMX. Does anyone know how long the health insurance is in effect afterwards? In my case, my last day is Dec 19th. Is it only effective through then or longer due to biweekly deductions for it? Thanks ...
Just got the call asking why I left MM and how I felt about the company. Hard to answer thoroughly with the choices given but let her know that I thought their policies were despicable. The interviewer said she heard that all the time (not that this is news to anyone). Would I ever work for them again? Ho, ho, ho! ...
I have handed in my resignation effective immediately. I am so tired of hearing these foreign doctors, failing my audits and working every darn weekend. I have had enough. No, I don't have a job but I am hopeful and I will be getting my husband's SS soon. I just can't take this BS anymore.
...
sent it to the owner of the company and cc'd her admin asst, who hired me. The AA accidentally replied back to the owner on that same email chain and forgot to delete my name so it was sent to me too, stating she was "ticked off" that I quit, that they had done "so much for me" and basically that it was my fault because I didn't communicate to them that I didn't have enough work. Mind you, we had discussed this via email 3 weeks prior, that I wasn't making enough ...
Hi everyone! Last month, I posted on here that I resigned effective immediately. I had had enough of the crappy ESL doctors, the audits, the poor VR, etc., etc. I just want everyone to know there is hope. I found out today that I will be getting my husband's SS with a lump sum at the end of this month and monthly payments starting in August. The payments may be more than what I originally thought. I have also put out about 40 resumes and have only gotten one bite. that one bite is a ...
By this time in the day, usually, there has been at least 7 emails - several from QA, at least 2-3 backlog updates, and 1 reminder to work our shift and work our entire shift. ...
Well, I have too read between the lines in that letter. I hope no one read it and said to themselves - well, I guess they do appreciate us - NOT. I also think they are going to take something away, whether wages or benefits. I have cut back everyway I can think of, dropped full coverage on my vehicle, cut back on my Dish satellite, which I do not have time to watch anyway, just buy the groceries I need, do not go anywhere unless I absolutely have to, etc. If things get mu ...
firm (Pepper Law)who will be handling the audits of companies for compliance with the laws regarding independent contractors vs employees.
Dear Sirs, As a medical transcriptionist I am happy that the federal government will be cracking down on the companies that misclassify employees as independent contractors. This practice is rampant in the medical transcription field and I wanted to make sure that you are aware of this. These companies require a set schedule including a com ...
Got an e mail from CEO stating how wonderful the company is doing. Of course it is, we are producing more than every before and getting paid far less than ever before. Who would'nt turn a profit. Can't make my rent for the 2nd month in a row. ...
Can anyone tell me what the more preferred way to type the above sentence would be? Also, should I not use commas before "dated" and after the date or should I just straight type it "The report dated 08/12/09 states...."
We have a few different opinions in the office (which only dictated and have somewhat poor use of the English language) and I would like to see what you, the MT community, thinks.
Thanks! ...
