Does Transcend provide equipment? - sm

Looking for PT work and my personal computer is a laptop with Vista. Not too many companies allowing that. TIA

Transcend's stuff does work on Vista. Very well, I might add. I only have Vista computers in my house. :)

I worked for the last 1-1/2 years for Transcend with Vista and it worked just fine with both BeyondTxt and Chartscript. Must be some setting in your computer if you were on either one of those platforms.

Stay away from Transcend, they make promises they don't keep, find ways not to pay you, and run out of work regularly.

They have kept every promise to me so far anyways. They pay on time, every time and every paycheck has been correct to the penny. I have so much work most the time that I feel I need to oftentimes help on my days off. So obviously, as oft said before, the experience is not the same in a given company for everyone. Ask them everything that is important to you, if you are considering employment there, and decide if it is worth the effort to try. As above, I am happy at Transcend, as I'm sure many others are.

Does anyone know of any transcription services that provide the computer equipment? I tried the ones I found on this board WebMedX and SoftScript (bad reviews on SoftScript) and Proscript which is an INDIAN company! I do not own my own computer. Can someone help me with equipment requirements for Transcend? The company I currently work for is switching to Transcend for their dictation system. I am told I will still have a job, but will have to meet the equipment requirements in order to get the work via Transcend. I currently get work by connecting via a Lanier system.
