DTS TANKS on 1-1/2 year hospital account - I bet we got duped by DTS and EMR

Posted: May 09, 2013

FINALLY after a year lines were looking up on this account.  The last few weeks have been way overflowing with work.  All of a sudden.. SCRAPPING for work and only getting about 25% of usual lines.

I bet the account went to EMR and they never told us and now we are SOL.

I need some angry birds to fly over the management Cry

I thought DTS had gone by the wayside in 2011 when they were supposedly bought out by Transcend. I worked for DTS after they took over the hospital I worked for for 5-1/2 years, and had no choice in the matter.

Anyway, then Transcend was supposedly bought out by Nuance and now we are like you - scrapping for work. I sit here for 12-14 hours a day hoping for a job to pop up and hoping I can download it before someone else grabs it.

Good luck.

This is DTS-OK.. think there is/was a second one? - nm

There was always someone in a training session and work was behind and out of TAT, but many difficult dictators, so was questioning whether the VR was in the process of being taught as when the good clear dictators are teaching the VR, then bye-bye MT. Don't know with any service as you still 'type yourself out of a job.' Was warned on this site by another who stated that the program was not good nor the pay, which was low. But you are absolutely right, that once YOU 'finally' have trained yourself and stored your own short cuts...the rug is pulled out from under you. Just like playing the game of Sorry...I hate work games.

They recently hired 15 new employees --- work has been out of tat for months.

DTS management has been playing games with this account for years --- with constant cherry picking --- MTs would get frustrated with the bad dictators and log off --- tat kept getting worse and worse. They never learned. I can't believe this hospital stayed with them for so long with their work constantly out ot tat.

I got a all Thursday evening saying that they had to let me go because that hospital account went to EMR without any notification.

Feel bad for you Suzanne...same here. - anon

Hospital Job?
May 14, 2011

Just curious if anyone has a remote (long-distance) position with a hospital.  If so, did you have to work inhouse initially before being able to go home or not? My last employer (the current one MTSO I work for stinks so bad I don't even consider them an employer!) was a hospital that was part of a chain.  Of 50 MTs, there was one in Canada, one in Mexico, and one in China.  However, I'm fairy certain that they were Americans who lived locally and then subsequently mov ...

Hospital Pay--is This A JOKE?
Dec 30, 2009

Okay, so halfway out of curiosity, I applied to my local hospital, which is a large regional hospital, for an MT job.  They wanted a "seasoned" MT with CMT, who transcribes 250 lines an hour.  Okay, I thought, they might actually compensate better than I think since they have well-defined high standards.  WRONG!  They are offering $11.35 AN HOUR!  What a slap in the face!  You get a whole extra dollar if you work 2nd shift.  What an insult--they just have ...

Home Vs Hospital
Nov 01, 2010

Was laid off in April.  Have a couple offers from transcription companies, and one from a clinic which is part of a huge school/hospital system in our area, (which actually is through a temp agency).  There are only 2 full-time NP's and a handlful of part-time NP's.  The hospital job is a 45-minute drive, 1-way, in light traffic.  Pay to start is $13, but if this temp goes to permanent, potential is much greater.  The clinic is open M-F, 8-4, closed holidays.&n ...

Getting A Hospital NEVER Received Before, Sm
