Accentus- Info on them since buyout by Nuance - Mally

Hi! I am currently job hunting and am curious what anyone can tell me about their experiences in working for Accentus has been like since they were bought out in 2012 by Nuance. I searched the archives and most of what I found about Accentus was from before the buyout, and may no longer be accurate information. Thanks in advance!

At least on my account in Canada, nothing has changed since the takeover. In fact, all the emails I get show Accentus, a Nuance company so we are still Accentus ICs.

Waiting to see what happens as it's been a few months since the takeover. Changes should be forthcoming in the next few months. I've heard that our accounts will start switching over to Nuance's platform in the next few months. Also, I know that our annual open enrollment for health insurance, etc., is this month to begin 6/1 so I'm fairly confident that we will not continue our benefits but be transitioned to Nuance's instead. Also assuming pay reductions will begin shortly after we are transitioned to their software as well. Coming soon to a theater near you.....

what about the ambulatory division? - me

have heard that they never had ambulatory before with those who have their own specific dictators and turnaround time - so no one is anticipating that anything will change there as it would be too difficult - any word on that? things like neurological clinic notes, etc.

I know there used to be a lot of happy folks at Transolutions, now owned by Accentus. I can't find much recent info as to happiness/contentedness with pay and procedures, etc. I am particularly concerned about changes since the Accentus swapover. Thoughts and/or comments? Thanks very much. ...

In case you haven't seen it on the other boards, just announced this morning. Accentus is actually Canadian company. I have to wonder about monopoly laws, but maybe with them being Canadian it won't matter? There is no place to run....Accentus had its problems, but the insurance was good and I was on an account that was 75% straight transcription, making 10 for straight, 6.5 VR....sigh...time to jump from this sinking ship of transcription :( I do believe in the end it wil ...

As a Transcender being taken over by Nuance, I am appalled that we have received no word about anything other than we will start with a time clock. No word about how we will be compensated, only "rumors" which I am sick of. Now I see Accentus is still hiring, advertising and advertising a "holiday bonus". Well, I want a holiday bonus. Has anyone on the clinic side (Formerly Zylomed) of things heard anything at all about some of the things posted here on the Nuance board? That is unfair. They should just advertise under Nuance now. People might jump to the job thinking it is another company, and come to find out it is Nuance. This is false advertising. I surely wish Accentus would quit posting job openings. I get excited whenever I see a good job listing then I see it is Accentus/Nuance all over again. Sheesh.
