ATSI is a bad company to work for. When hiring on they tell you 0.08 cpl then after about 2 weeks they switch you to a company called Oracle that you sign a contract with stating 0.075 cpl. When I got my second paycheck I noticed money was missing. When questioned about it they said that they pay per report 1.50 at the most. NO ONE EVER mentioned this to me at all. When I started throwing a fit about it as I signed a contract for 0.075 cpl they came up with some lame excuse to get rid of me. I have been off QA for over a month with them, when they let me go they said it was to expensive to keep me on 100% QA (which like I said I had been sending my reports straight to docs without complaints) the QA person said I was doing a perfect job but the ones that was letting me go was the ones I called out about the pay. Just DO NOT WORK FOR THEM.

That is the company who let me go after one day. Something strange going on. They kept telling me to hold on they were going to call me, two weeks went by they finally did. I had to wait two weeks for training. Read up on everything they gave me. I was so anxious by the time the job came, I may have messed up a couple of reports, nothing BIG. They kept me going for one day and then said I wasn't right for their client. I was shocked. I had never been let go before. I think I dodged the bullet now that I am reading the above. I have been doing this for 30 years.

Was there almost 9 months - left in May tho cos I found a better line rate elsewhere. The Bayscribe platform is awesome and a good way to make big money, and nobody every bothered me. Don't know if anything has changed since I left - but they were good to me when I was there. If they could have come up with a more decent line rate, I'd still be there. :) Just my 2 cents worth.

Notice all the big posts about them being a nonpaying MTSO. Sounds like they got in tax trouble, but their MTs ended up not getting paid about 3 paychecks in a row. REALLY dont work for them, you will be a volunteer.

I worked for ATSI 2008 to 2010, quit before it got really bad, although it was bad when I was with them. I figured out I was screwed out of $700 from them, even filed a complaint with the Florida Dept of Labor and BBB, no help! DOL said I had no case b/c I couldn't "prove" I was at my desk 40 hours per week and yet only making $2-3 an hour. I sent them proof of everything. I hate to be a downer, but don't bother trying to go thru the DOL, it's a waste of time. If you have luck and get paid, let us all know what you did to get paid finally.

Does anyone know of a lawsuit or some type of class action against them? I've asked before and online searched it, but got nothing.

I would love to get paid my back wages from ATSI, but I'm not holding my breath. Is there a statue of limitations regarding that also? Could not find/get much help on this matter.

So done wasting my time with them unless an attorney contacts me and says we are all gonna sue. :-)

I have offers from both TTS and ATSI. One is IC for 90 days then option for employee, the other is employee from first day. Pay and work and hours are all the same. I can't find much recent on ATSI, and see some comments about TTS overhiring and work being scarce. Any input? I am trying to decide by Friday. Thanks! ...

This is just a warning message to hopefully prevent other MTs from going through my experience. ATSI still owes me three paychecks, which were repeatedly promised to be paid day after day, week after week, then we were informed they legally had to pay by August the 8th. Most of us have still not been paid. I just learned that David Shepherd and his wife, Terry, also control M T World. I would really like to know who comes up with these stupid programs that are supposed to benefit the transcriptionist. This MT World program (you work in word) is just stupid in my opinion. A recruiter recently emailed me and stated in her email "After the minimumlines per day is satisfied for 3 consecutive periods as well as the 90 days you will be offered employee status and benefits". What does that mean? What does a consecutive period consist of - pay periods? Annual quarters?
