All I can tell you is that I'm training with them now, and I'm not impressed. I start back at it tomorrow. They pay 3 cpl but nothing to help you out while you're training, just your 3 cpl. SR. And so far what I've seen is a mess.
The recruiter is really great, though, as far as someone to get along with.
Pay is LOW, LOW, LOW - xatsi

Depending on what acct you're own, it can take forever to find doc names, discern formats, blah blah all the while being paid peanuts. Maybe peanuts would be worth more than 3 cpl.
That's the problem; recruiters usually ARE great--sm - CM

--that's part of their job, to schmooze and bring in the bodies--but you generally won't be working with them and many recruiters (though certainly not all) will paint an unrealistic picture of what the company is like. You really can't go by the "feel" a recruiter gives you for a company, or at least that has been my painful experience more than once over the years.
But a recruiters can work in your favor. The recruiter was so - anxious to have me sign on she gave me

terms that have been very helpful to me, maybe not so the MTSO. She wanted me (IC) to give specific time I would work. Told her I couldnt do that I could commit to 5 hours in the first shift. She wanted me to say specifically what 5 hours but I wouldnt. So she sent me a contract for any 5 hours in the first shift. Sometimes I log in at 8, sometimes 10, just as long as I get 5 hours in.
You were fortunate, then, as sometimes what happens is--SM - CM

--the recruiter will make promises that your supervisor/manager/leads/whatever will not honor. I had one recruiter in particular tell me I was hired for a particular job (large hospital, low ESL, a certain shift and certain pay rate) and when I accepted and was hired I was then told I would be on a different hospital (very high ESL percentage), and a different shift than I was promised. The only thing they couldn't mess me around with was the pay rate, as that was written into the contract itself, and none of the rest of it was.
Get it in writing is the moral of the story, I guess, and beware the bait and switch.
Fortunate? Prefer to think standing up for myself. Not letting MTSO - walk all over me. Knowing SM

what IC means and what can, and cannot, be asked of me. Not being a witch about stating my rights, but not backing down either.
worked there at beginning of year, hated the platform and pay, nm - was too low

I worked there for almost 18 months and was miserable the whole time. They are the worst MTSO in my opinion. I went through at least 6 supervisor changes in that short time. They leave faster than they come in. I was way underpaid and filed a complaint with the DOL in Florida and got screwed big time. Do.Not.Work.There. I implore you! I have former QAs as references for me and they left as well. It's bad.
Thanks so much everyone for your replies. Will definitely keep looking! :) - anon
Can any current or former MT's with this company give some honest feedback of what on earth this company is about? It is managed by 3 women, and I'm about to blow from the insanity of this place. I wouldn't even know where to begin the list is so long. Anyone want to be anonymous pen-pals? I fully understand and respect discretion regarding such a sensitive subject. Please, tell me somebody else is out there who knows exactly how I feel... ...
Can someone give me some current information about this company, good bad, would prefer someone working there now or within the last 6 months. Have done a search but would like something more current. Thanks in advance. ...
Does anybody have any current information about SOAP transcription? I have a job now that is not enough hours and have been thinking of applying with them if they are any good. I don't want to quit my current job and get in a worse situation if it's not a great company to work for. Any information would be helpful. TIA. ...
Looking for current information on Chase Transcription out of Ohio re: pay, working conditions, etc., as they share some of the "recently bought out TCI" accounts.
Thanks! ...
I've looked through the archives here and I'm not finding any current information on SOAP Transcription. Does anyone have any recent info for me on the company? Are they a good company to work for? What is their pay like? I read on their website that they hire someone with a Learntranscription.com certificate or a certificate from any accredited AHDI affiliation. Is that a must to get hired there? I don't have any certifications, but I have quite a bit of experience. ...
So, I'm an RMT with less than 1 year of experience under my belt...currently working as an IT on an account only paying .05 cpl and also another account paying .07 cpl. Together, they comprise pretty much a full-time job for me.
Meanwhile, I was just asked to test for QMedET Solutions and possibly join their "PATH" program for those new to their practices/platforms/etc. for .07 cpl.
Does anyone have any positive/negative feedback about the company, training program, accounts, ...
Everything I seem to find in the archives is rather old and would like something more current. Feel free to email me. Anything at all on either of these companies that is current would be great! Thanks in advance ...
Thinking of applying and just wondering about pay, platform, accounts etc. Any information would be good. I just want to make sure it is a good place to work. From the archives, it looks like it is pretty mixed. People either love it or hated it due to the strict scheduling. Is the schedule still strict for ICs? Thanks in advance for your information. ...
Does anyone have any current information on MD-IT? I searched the boards and the archives and found nothing. If anyone could share any information at all, I would appreciate it, thanks. ...

They are offering IC status but then list the shifts that they expect you to work??? How is the pay, platform, volume of work, managers, communication, you name it, I would like to know it. :)
