I think that, more and more, MTs won't be able to afford to do this anymore. The cost of living is too high. It's just not feasible. The companies don't want to pay more, so they're going to find it harder to find people who want to settle for that. I do this only part time now. Minimum wage doesn't cut it, especially now. Things got so bad, I considered taking a job doing home health care where I'd be working outside of my home and driving around from place to place for just $10/hour just because it was more than I was making.
