Many people don’t want to answer phones and enter data. Some people, including myself, don’t have the patience or people skills to answer the phone all day. If that’s the only job available, I think many would rather stick it out doing MT, and working in a call center sounds like a dead end, soul sucking job to me. I got out too, but I don’t work from home and I don’t do data entry. If fact, I don’t answer the phone or type at all. What might have been a good fit for you will not be a good fit for others.
