Transcription has been dead for 10 years - Moved on Posted: May 1st, 2023 - 10:58 am In Reply to: Thank you - AMK507 OP
I finally got out, just couldn't take the abuse any longer. I work at a senior living facility as a receptionist and have been there 5 years and I am in my 70s! I work 2 days a week and enjoy it and would never go back to MT work again.
It is difficult to find a job I admit and you're competing with younger applicants, but don't despair. My biggest regret is that I didn't get out 20 years ago when it started to go downhill.
I also do flexible caregiver work and it pays decent and I work when I want.
I tried retail as well as a starter job because I was desperate. At that point anything was better than working for nothing and being chastised for missing something in the free work we did for them. I hope each and every company goes belly up.
They will, technology is taking over more and more every day.
