From what I have seen, there are not any local transcription jobs. I worked on site for years and years for a large facility. They finally outsourced it all and the transcriptionists have all moved on. We used Nuance and did not renew our contract when Deliver Health took over. From what I have seen, the only local MT jobs have been per diem to support facilities as they phase things out. If faced with hiring MTs on a permanent basis, they are going to choose outsourcing every time. I don’t ever see it coming back, unfortunately, it’s probably best to stop holding out false hope.
