I would say now would be the time to explore other avenues. I know I’m not answering your question about the FB groups, but I don’t think it gets any better than what you currently have, and a lot of jobs require IC status now. My story is similar to yours except that when my hourly benefited job ended I went to work for the same employer doing other things. Good luck.
