I left MT completely 8 years ago. Sent out resumes for months prior to quitting, and finally something "hit," and it worked out to bridge me to SS retirement benefits.
Sounds like you're in a financial position to give it some time to take a breath before re-wording your resume. Am assuming you are getting out of MT completely. Taking another MT position will only serve to disappoint yet again.
Enjoy your time off, take a breath, then hit the pavement running. You'll be fine if you have some sort of income coming in until something else comes along.
