I started over at 58. It took 2 years, but I didn't give up. I was getting calls for interviews. Maybe you need to get some resume advice. I worded my resume such that it focused on "experience working in multiple hospital databases" for the jobs working in a medical office. "Experienced in learning new software quickly."
For customer service positions, I put "Experience in keeping multiple clients happy."
I'm not buying the age thing. There are plenty of people willing to hire seniors. I see them all over the place, and I guarantee you that those people you order from at catalog stores (online as well as paper" are working from home, not in some big call center.
