Company Board

rude - ex-MT

The op's response to the owner was most definitely rude and uncalled for. She took the time to respond to your post and you come back with nothing but sarcasm. If you don't like what they are paying then look elsewhere. I know MT is a tired and thankless job anymore, that's why I got out. The smaller companies are trying to stay afloat. MT is not what it used to be and you all just have to face that fact. Hospitals/clinics don't want to pay for transcription, that's why they all have outsourced their work to these companies. A company can only pay out what they bring in and of course they all want to make some money out of it or they wouldn't be in the business. I do have to agree 7 cpl for an IC is not enough. I did IC for 8.5 cpl and after taxes barely had anything left for me. So unless they have exceptional software and dictation where you can make a decent line count, 7 cpl would not cut it. I can't comment on Integrity as I never worked for them and obviously you have not either, so to come on this board and bash them is slander and uncalled for. I realize everyone wants to make a decent living while working at home, making their own schedule, etc. We all got spoiled in the beginnings, but it's time to face the facts, it's never going to be that way again, so you can either suck it up and deal with it or move on. I chose to move on because I need the income. wasn't thrilled that I had to go back out of the home, but I am happy now that I did, steady income, PTO, weekends off, holidays off and paid for, it's great!! Instead of complaining all the time, get out of the business if you can't deal with the low wages and slave-driving workload. If you don't want to move on, then learn to deal with what they are offering because it's not going to change any time soon!
