But, for now, our hope is to at least provide a reasonable, decent place to work. A decent place to work, what does that even mean? I work at home under a leaking roof and leaking plumbing that I can't afford to repair. What is reasonable and decent about your cpl? What is reasonable and decent about your sadistic testing? Given the compensation, I should not be required to spell anything more complex than "the patient."
If we could pay our MTs more, we most definitely WOULD, and our hope is to do that at some point in the future. "...our MTs...?" We are not your MTs. We are IC business associates, not ponies in your stable. If you want us to be "your" MTs, then you need to pay "our" taxes. And please spare me the gushing rhetoric about paying more because then you might have to rethink your new car, your vacation, your mani-pedi, etc. etc.
We DO care about our MTs, and we do what we can to provide a positive, supportive environment. How do you care about "your MTs?" Do you go to your clients and educate them about correct dictation? Do you remind them that there are real human beings at the end of their microphones, people who are harmed every day by the thoughtless and rude behavior of the ones who vowed to first do no harm?
We don't post our per line pay on our ads because we feel that gives information out to our competitors that we do not want them to have. That is absurd. When the pay is not posted, it is too low and we know this. If you revealed the cpl, the MTs you want to attract wouldn't even bother to apply. This is not integrity, it is a waste of time and a manipulative disregard for the principle of disclosure.
We are posting on MT Jobs regularly because we ARE hiring…. You are posting there because you are not allowed to post here because your cpl is too low.
Your response reminds me of the guy who promised that he would still love me in the morning. Full of puppies and rainbows, signifying nothing. Integrity is about doing the right thing, not just talking about it.
