Critical error - Not - My 2 cents

If you have not already, contact your team leader or QA manager and protest that QA deduction. You are right, critical errors are only those that affect direct patient care. If you want documentation, use the AHDI best practices guide, it is available on line and lists critical versus non-critical errors. I did QA review on site and would never have docked anyone for this. I also was a production MT for years for a local facility and had my pay docked a few times for stupid things. Fortunately, we were able to go straight to the source with our protests. I've read a lot on this board about Nuance QA and could say that they are not educated well enough to know what they are doing and arbitrarily score things incorrectly, it seems really inconsistent. I don't work there but I am sorry; I've been in the trenches a long time and felt the need to comment.
