So sorry this happened, this is why I never - clock out anymore for breaks

Honestly, back in the good old days when I used to make $20+ per hour I would be pumped, and log out for every little minute, go to the bathroom, let the cat out, etc.

But now, every time I build my production up to where I might be getting a decent paycheck, I find they screw me with a "critical" (in reality nonsense) error and down my pay goes anyway.

It is one of the most demoralizing and dehumanizing methods of keeping our pay down, and my only way to fight that feeling now is, well, screw you, I'm not going to try so hard anymore.

I think we all have to admit, no matter how hard we try not to make errors, unless you proofread extensively (and of course if you did your production would suck) and maybe take some kind of drug that makes your brain always full on perfect, you will make the odd little error here and there.

The idea that their "tips" OR the feedback from QA on the nasty little FIESA comments, OR the stupid emails about how many days since critical error OR the emails detailing our exact dumb errors so all our coworkers can read them reduces our "errors" in any way, shape or form is completely bogus. Why would we make them if we could help it? We don't want our pay docked!

They know that. It's just a psychological method to attempt to make us blame ourselves for lower pay and not them. Guess what, not working.

So my only recourse is to go straight 8 hours a day and do all my little bits in between. I just try to make 200+ lph (sometimes unable to do even that if they push through a lot of straight typing new ESL dictators, which seems to be happening a lot lately) and catch up when I have a good one or two.

I'm done trying to get better production because they just knock you down with their nasty FIESA garbage just when you think you might have gotten a little ahead.

Maybe others have better strategies? It has helped me to not obsess about errors and to know my daily finish time is within reason anyway.

Whatever it takes to get through it, I guess.
