Job Ads for IC requiring a shift. - sm

I am still seeing job ads on different sites that state their job is an IC position, but also state what "shift" they need the IC work to be done.  Please fellow MTs, please help us all, if you inquire about these jobs, state YOUR desired hours and remind these people that ICs are not assigned shifts.  We just have to insist over and over again and now allow these MTSOs to hire ICs and then treat them like employees, requiring shifts, overtime, makeup work, nights, weekends, and holidays.  They do not want to pay any of your taxes, SS, and benefits, so be it, they can be off the hook for that, but they must be made aware of what is legally an IC when they choose to do this.
