Some have their own platforms you work in directly and it does all the downloading/setting up automatically when you open a file, others you use something like DocShuttle and a digital player to play the files on, some you use a FTP program which you buy/or download free version online and get your work using that and download the voice files directly to your computer (again using a digital player like Express Scribe or Gearplayer). It is very simple once it is all set up, you just click on the file you want and depending on program drag or click on a download button to get it to your computer. But every company is different, so no one way fits all.
