If you have not heard that one, you must not have been doing this long. Yes, an IC cannot be held to set times/hours, but the company has a business to run, if you are not willing to help them to do that,in turn keeping yourself and others in work, why bother? Sounds like a child not wanting to eat their vegetables or not wanting to do their chores temper tantrum. If you want to call the shots all the time - start your own business and see how that works for you.
