Generally you need to meet your criteria 5 days a week. With about a 23.5 hour turn around time, I normally am able to work around things.
However, if you want to make up time because something has come up that just can't wait and you will not be able to finish for the day, then I have never had a problem letting my TL know and then making it up on another day. Typical schedules are M-F, so making it up on the weekend seems to be when most people get caught up.
