First and foremost, a burger flipper needs to make as much or more than a new member of the military or police recruits? No they don't. McDonald's, BK, etc should be a starting point, a job for teenagers, or a stepping stone for those that wish to stay and be promoted in time. We are not all equal, there are people that are smarter, faster, better workers, they deserve to be rewarded. Reward mediocracy and that is what you get mediocre workers. And in the age of computers, you will have companies forego customer service for computer automation where ever they possible can. And we all will accept it, because we live in an age where looking at an IPhone is more important than dinner with our families. Its easier to shop online than in the store, and pushing buttos is easier than dealing with an idiot behind a counter, one who because of computers no longer has a social skill in their body. Technology caused the problem and technology will fix the problem.
