Says ballot initiative reached its necessary signatures too. Personally, I declined signing that when approached by signature collectors! Too many people don't think or understand the ramifications of a higher minimum wage. I used to cry every time minimum wage went up, because that meant I just got a demotion in pay, i.e. no matching raise. Of course, that was in the good old days when we were paid what we were worth instead of Indian wages.
