their work to be transcribed offshore. However, less than a year after I started working there, the entire MT department was closed down and the doctors switched to a new front-end program they could edit themselves. One employee thought that new system wouldn't last long -- that we'd all get called back to work because the doctors would hate editing their own work. That never happened, and the call never came.
