Man I'm with you. I've been at this since age 20 and now 64. Remember stenorettes? Remember liquid paper and underwood typewriters. That's all we had and someone would get up from her brim-filled ashtray to help you with some jerk from ortho who literally didn't know his --- from a hole in his femur. WOW, this brings me back my dear. I retired this December 2015 and have been so happy, however, will never be over editing and the love of typing. I do miss it, but jobs these days are thankless and punitive. I'm so sorry you are having this much trouble. Ah, the evil machinations of this profession is astounding. I quit before I lost my soul.
