I was in a union at my local hospital. That didn't stop them from outsourcing (to MModal). They kept the 2 with the most seniority as a gesture, but they will be gone at the end of the contract (4/30/16). The union didn't care about us. Oh, and from the very beginning the docs were horrified, didn't make any difference.
