Coding / Medical Billing

Yes - For the final time

Posted: Feb 6th, 2016 - 11:59 am In Reply to: SORRY! - Please help.

I'm sorry to give you a snarky answer but this topic has been discussed ad infinitum on the coding boards, just read the threads and the answer is always the same as the one I gave you. Yes, I was an MT for 30+ years. I did acute care and all flavors of multispecialty transcription. Nothing I did in the transcription world prepared me for coding. Some coders can't transcribe, and transcriptionists can't code without some training. I answered your question and the answer is still the same. You need to attend a school and get your certification. Your acute care background will help but it is no guarantee of your success as a coder. Sorry if you are looking for a kinder, gentler approach, just read the threads.
