What's better than Express Scribe? - beluke

Posted: Dec 15th, 2015 - 5:07 pm

I've been using Express Scribe for a number of years now but have been isolated from speaking to other MTs for various reasons.  I know "way back when" Express Scribe was the most used transcribing programme.  But I'm not sure if people have switched to another programme, perhaps.

I receive files in all sorts of formats:  DSS, MP3, DSS2 (I HATE Olympus for doing that!!!), WAV, and more.  I usually have to go to an old Olympus Player 2 and convert some of those files to DSS then load them into my Express Scribe to work.  I like that all the files are visible there in front of me so I can see what I have in total and pick which file I do next (I have 6 different clients, so have to juggle priorities all the time).

Does anyone have any suggestions for other programmes I should be researching?
