Independent Contractor Pay Rate? - Offered a job at 7 cents per line

Hi everyone out their in Transcription Land.

I have been offered an Independent Contractor transcription position with a group of physicians and they are offering 7 Cents per line.   What do you all think?  Is this reasonable.....or what should I request without them just looking elsewhere.....

What would you require per line to transcribe for them as an independent contractor?

I wonder what agencies are charging doctor's groups to transcribe their office notes.   These doctors do not want to do their own computer entry for the office visits.
