Posted: Oct 6th, 2015 - 4:52 pm In Reply to: Is there a reason that Andrews isn't on AHIMA's - list of approved schools?

Here's what it says under the CCA qualifications - No Training Required to sit for the CCA, and that's what most schools prepare students for:

The CCA exhibits coding competency in any setting, including both hospitals and physician practices. The CCS and CCS-Pî exams demonstrate mastery level skills in an area of specialty: hospital-based for CCS's and physician practice-based for CCS-Ps.

CCA Eligibility Requirements
Required:

High School Diploma or equivalent
