This was the very reason I got into MT about 10-11 years ago, the fact that the last 2 places I had worked was full of cattiness, disorganization, poor managers, etc. I think the good settings in offices are already taken by people who stay in those jobs for a long time. I would work on finding a very small office, even one where you can work by yourself quite a bit, avoid being around a lot of women, and probably stay away from MT as it's just very hard to find a decent job anymore. I regret really when I settled for this 10 years ago, trying to get away from the atmospheres you are describing. I think I would keep looking for a better job outside the home.
