Can't verify "brain drain" anywhere regarding surgery. - Help?

Scalp and forehead lacerations being repaired.

The head is placed in a "brain drain" in order to wash the hair and judiciously shave the areas around the lacerations, preserving all of the other hair.

down-slanting tray/trough used to wash a pt's hair. Not used so much anymore that I've seen.

You could:
(a) type it exactly as you did here (w/ quotation marks or
(b) Google that "tray for washing hair" or like that.

This is during closure of a bifrontal craniotomy to remove a meningioma. If it helps, the Stealth navigation system was used on this surgery. I work at home for the local hospital/clinic and have for the last 12 years doing transcription.
