"OMG... no way! NOT MQ! They would never give our work away. I have so much work, I love my CCM, I never get NJA. Who are these Indians? I love this place. This is the best job ever. I make 54,000 a year. I type 644 lines an hour!"

WHATEVER... CBAY OWNS US AND MQ HAS BEEN DEAD SINCE 2006.

cannot stand - sm

Just because some people have good CCM's, never get NJA and make decent money, does not mean they do not believe the work is going to India.

Not trying to be snippy, but we all know the work is going to India. Unfortunately, at the moment, it is only hitting certain areas at a time, it seems. Some people are just doing okay now. Does not mean it will be that way forever. You can still have a good CCM. That is a person like you and me. There are good ones and bad ones. Some hospitals do not want their work going overseas and the people that do those accounts are the ones with NJA. Many accounts also do not want ASR, which is why some are making good money.

I do believe we all know that work is going to India. I don't believe anybody said people with bad CCM's, NJA and making peanuts are lying, just like those people should not call the people that are doing okay now liars. It is just a crap-shoot. Will the good fortune last for those having it good now. Who knows? It is just a day at a time.

Actually that's not what this says - mt

80% of all volume projections. That's not 80% of all work.

They could project 50% of the work, and then must make sure they offer 80% of that 50%.

It's bad, I agree, but it's not 80% of all the work.

and they could project 99% of the work - so 80% of 99%

AND? Either way, our work is gone.

Well this explains why all our work is disappearing to India.  Medquist sold out to CBay, which operates out of India.  Anyone know of any USA companies that are hiring?  This is just outrageous and disgusting.  http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=103x365279 ...

Had To Repost This Great Post From A Wise MT :)
Jan 02, 2011

"Had mandatory conference call with HR recently. Heard they are a growing company. Don't doubt it. Hospitals must love the instant TAT and low cost of Transcend. It means heck for us. Same as Walmart-- you appreciate low prices and availability, don't realize that the companies have to supply goods to Walmart at rock-bottom prices just to survive. Walmart is Transcend, Walmart shoppers are the hospitals looking for a good deal, the brand-name companies are us-- forced to supply at low, ...

Sorry A Repost. Got Too Buried. Advice On ICD10 Manuals Pls!
Mar 25, 2014

For the MM program, we will not be provided the manuals until we move into "real coder" status. Bummer. They are providing us with ebooks but I don't think the actual manuals would come in ebook format, am I right? So, I found some 2014 ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS books by Optum on Amazon (is that Optum Ingenix?) They are "official drafts" - whatever that means, sounds like an oxymoron to me. Also why am I not seeing a combined ICD-10-CM and PCS book, didn't they used to do that f ...

CBay/Please Read
Jul 22, 2010

I just got through reading the website of CBay in its entirety to get more insight into their company.  They appear to be a giant in the field, own almost everything that has to do with medical transcription or the likes thereof.  I clicked on the Executive Bios section and got to read about each executive's background, etc.  What I saw and read were numerous CBay individuals (all men I might add) with many years' worth of previous employment by well known companies, som ...

Wow! Just Thought Of How CBAY
Jul 29, 2010

CBAY could get rid of a lot of board of directors.  Does CBAY have any idea how much money it could save them?  In fact, why we are at it, get rid of the United States board of directors and bring in their own India board of directors.  They could probably pay their suits half or even less than it would cost for United States board of directors.  Plus!  Would not have to pay incentives, benefits, bonuses, gas for their cars, credit expenses for lunches and golfing, e ...

Dear MQ/Cbay ILP Who I QA'd Tonight
Apr 23, 2011

If you can't hear parts of the dictation, leave a QA marker.  It looks really bad when the client is on 100% for ILPs and all you did was copy and paste an old progress note with a few changes to the impression and plan.  Seriously?!  Did you listen to any of the dictation?  Cuz it didn't come close to matching up. Sure, the dictator was difficult and hard to hear, but I could hear enough to know that what the ILP typed didn't even come close to what was said, ...

MQ Delisted From NYSE, CBay Gone Private
Jan 17, 2012

My husband and I stay up on the stock market and I have been watching MQ and Cbay for about a year.   I just noticed today that they have been delisted and gone to pink sheet which means their stock consistently fell below the $5.00 mark.  Just a year ago it was $16.  Also, CBay has gone private and claims it is an American Company.  It is not, it is now privately owned by an Indian company doing business with corporate offices in London.  I don't know what thi ...

ESL And India

Not trying to be ignorant of things, but I read A LOT of reference to ESL dictators and work going to India.  What are ESL dictators exactly?  I am asking because I've worked for this company only for a short time, but I don't have any dictators that are ESL (I am assuming English second language speakers correct)? other than what is normal for my region AND I also have not lost any work to India.  I am concerned though as it seems to be a trend.  I rarely run ...
