I just turned in my resignation. Crazy to change jobs right before the holidays but I've done it before. Cannot wait to start new job at smaller company for, yes, a little less pay but no corporate bigwigs and no offshores. I feel free!

I quit too and will be going to a smaller company. I haven't felt this good since before Nuance bought out Transcend.

Where is everyone going? I am new to this board and have noticed many people leaving Nuance (count me in soon I hope) but where do we find these smaller companies?

Truly very happy for those of you who have found your way out, and admittedly a bit envious. It has become down right depressing to log on to work for this horrible/dreadful/unfair company each day, and that is no way to live. So my New Year's resolution is to find my own way out and join the "escape club"!! Good luck to everyone.

Congratulations! I am actively searching right now and hoping to hear something soon. My goal is to be gone by the first of the year. The day I don't have to log into Fiesa, get e-mails about my quality, etc., will be the best day ever!! Good luck to all of you searching. I have a little experience in Oncology, but have a friend that I've warned to stay away from Nuance has done almost exclusively Oncology stuff. Would love to get info for both of us! Reply by e-mail would be the best option!

Thanks for letting me join the "club!" One of my current coworkers asked if I was excited or anxious about the move. I would be lying if I didn't say both, but I think it is more excited than anxious, which is a good sign, I think. I think (or hope) eventually the two giants in this industry will have a clash of the titans and both will be laid low. Hopefully there will be good quality smaller companies waiting in the wings to scoop up the MLS treasure!

I have been looking for a decent paying smaller company since Transcend announced the Nuance deal. I was with MDI for many years before that and it has been so demoralizing to go from "the cream of the crop" as they referred to us there, to being made to feel that I am "less than" with Nuance even though my quality score very rarely dips below 99%. It has gotten to the point that I am depressed and dread getting out of bed to sit at my computer every day. I used to LOVE my job and now I dread it. I still love what I DO, but certainly now for whom I do it. The loyalty and dedication I felt for my original employer means zero to the current one. I mean zero to them. I would dearly love to find a company that actually values my years of experience and knowledge again. I fear 'tis but a dream at this point.

What if I don't give a 2 week notice? Is it really gonna hurt me? I doubt they give detailed information about what kind of employee you were. Maybe just dates. I have heard not one word. No calls, no e-mails, nothing. I am a CMT with over 25 years of experience, experience in every specialty, huge hospitals, etc. Am I too experienced and do they think I would want too much money? Why wouldn't they at least ask? Do you think it is necessary to give 2 weeks notice if I am ALWAYS out of work. For example I should be done with my 8 hour shift in an hour and I am not even half way through the day due to being out of work on my primary and ALL of my back ups. Worked here for over 20 years. Been MT of the month 3 times with pay raises only to be grandfathered in to lose my raises and have the same pay I started working for this company. Then I slowly get no jobs available for the past 3 months. For these last 2 weeks?? I get on all hours of the day and night and this is what my pay comes too?? but accounts in my own BOB, I started getting ALL non-BOB today even though apparently there was plenty of work on my primary. So I though, hmmmm, I bet I'm getting audited....sure enough......I looked in statistics and I WAS.
