and she has time to attend her kid's school function during the workday? I have nothing against her, she seems very nice, but you know they'd flip out if we asked to take off for something like that, especially when we're backlogged. When's the last time you were able to take off to attend something for your kid's school? How much do these supers and schedulers make anyway? It seems like a dream job. AND HOW MANY WEEKS IN A ROW CAN THEY DEMAND MANDATORY OT?! I can't take much more. They're shorthanded and backlogged, so yeah, it's probably a great idea to torture those left until they leave too. Screw up our schedules, hire new people without restoring our original schedules, then weeks and weeks of mandatory OT. I'm at my final straw & mandatory OT next week will probably be it. I used to stay because I liked my schedule, but that's turned into a nightmare now.

We had a short respite, and they even said today we could go back half an hour (in an email yesterday), but then this morning, when I got on half an hour before my shift, there was an email stating they need an hour now. IN the end, those 30 minutes aren't much, but 9 hours of sitting here is getting old.

I can't do anything with my family and friends anymore. My daughter begs me to play with her all the time and I can't because "mommy has to work OT." Nothing like seeing an angelic face fall when mom can't play.

Perhaps I should know the answer but I do not. What is the deal with the move to EMR? Is it government mandated? I just picked up a good side job transcribing for a cardiology group in my community and it's projected to last only until they go to EMR..the move isn't happening too quickly...are there penalties if they don't move to EMR? Who is driving this? ...

Anybody enjoying the mandatory overtime. Yea funny how we are on mandatory overtime and then get an email that states that if you run out of work, you are required to email them and flex your time and can only make it up after 5 p.m. So again, you are required to check for your work throughout the day and if there is no work, sorry for your luck and if you want to be "lucky" enough to be employed w/ Nuance, you will then have to sign in and work on your off shift to make up your hour ...

Email received said basically,,,time sheet must be approved, make sure you have the required amount of time or PTO will be added to make up missing and you will need to re-approve it..I dont want to take PTO, I didnt run out of work, THEY DID..I put in my remedy ticket release without pay..How do they get away with that? ...

Do you think it is necessary to give 2 weeks notice if I am ALWAYS out of work. For example I should be done with my 8 hour shift in an hour and I am not even half way through the day due to being out of work on my primary and ALL of my back ups. Worked here for over 20 years. Been MT of the month 3 times with pay raises only to be grandfathered in to lose my raises and have the same pay I started working for this company. Why do MTSOs require weekend coverage for every one of their accounts? I have 2 and have work up the yin yang during the week but come Saturday, I'm watching paint dry. My MTSO requires 1 weekend day, at least 4 hours. I changed my weekend shift TWICE to work during the "busy" dictation times and I'm still NJA.
