Worked here for over 20 years. Been MT of the month 3 times with pay raises only to be grandfathered in to lose my raises and have the same pay I started working for this company. Then I slowly get no jobs available for the past 3 months. For these last 2 weeks?? I get on all hours of the day and night and this is what my pay comes too?? How the he)) am I supposed to pay for cable to stay on and electric bill.

It is terrible what is happening here at Mmodal. They do not care about their MTs.

I hope you at least put in for unemployment. Under this situation you should be able to put in a claim.

I thought my paychecks were bad, but I would be homeless if that were me. How on earth are you doing it? God bless you, and I pray things get better for you.

They know they can't legally fire us for being in an age group that their health insurers would like to see gone, so they do it by slowly drying up the work to less-than-life-sustainable levels. And if that doesn't work, they start QA-ing your work to death, and threatening you with termination over a mistake that their precious VR made, not you, and you just missed it in editing because you were so bored, and had worked so many hours that day, that you have to hold your eyelids open with toothpicks.

I say bring it on. Fire me. My first phone call will be to UE, and my second will be to the Labor Board.

They have already tried QA'ing me and I top out at 100%. The only way to get rid of me is they will have to fire me after all these years and years I have put up with their CRAP!!! This company genuinely sucks beyond anything imaginable. Heartless starting at the top. The money I make with this company does pay for cable and electric bill, but obviously not this month.

I certainly don't mean to be contrary as I know the repercussions are to be yelled at and called names but I am "old" and I was just hired by both Nuance and MModal. I just don't see age discrimination happening.

MTSOs are messing with us in so many other ways, seems unnecessary to make things up.

You mean getting rid of long-term employees.

Of course they would by definition by older, but that is not the cause of their termination, it is that they have worked their way up to higher wages.

Makes perfect sense, as that is a very common practice in all businesses. My brother was "laid-off" after 25 years right before his pension would have kicked in and he was a big shot CFO.

this is the second time my check was waaaay low than what I usually receive. I don't know what is going on. Just wanted to say that I just looked at my bank account as I got pad yesterday. What a nightmare. I will have a horrible weekend now because of that. Last year I made $13,000 for the year with MT, down from $26,000 the year before, and down from $40,000 back in the good old days. Finally happened. My husband's 32/hr/wk WalMart check was more than mine today. How degrading is that? Big decision day today. Do I walk and spend 40 hours a week looking for a better job, which wouldn't take much? I have tried everything to get my ASR production up. There is no way, at 40% less a line than full transcription rate, that I can even make a difference. So, so depressed today. Don't know what to do. ...

As an ex-Transcender/now Nuance employee (ugh!), we used to be able to see what our paycheck would be two days in advance by logging onto ADP and checking our "pay statements" from the home page. On the "new" ADP per Nuance, it seems that is not available any more. Has anyone had any luck seeing their pay statements on the new downloaded site or know where to go? Thanks! ...
