Does everyone at Nuance receive metric reports - they are so bogus

TSM takes metric reports as gospel but there is no way they can be accurate with the line count and actual hours on server. I am sitting here waiting for work to trickle in. That reduces my line count and I think hours on server because I am not actually producing work that the server counts.

Just wondered if all employees receive metric reports and what you think of the accuracy.

I stopped sweating those results a few months ago and I'm much happier now (relatively speaking!). I'm sure it's just Corporate's way of trying to squeeze every last transcribed word out of us; it just goes to show they have no idea what medical transcription involves. I used to get anxious about attaining the results they desire but after repeatedly falling short, I finally decided to just shoot for my quota every day and if I can't attain that in the hours allotted, so be it; the variables involved in transcription make the metric report results meaningless anyway, like you said! It's hard enough being paid less than minimum wage for the valuable service we provide...I don't need to be told I'm not performing up to par when I'm doing my very best for the company. Metric--schmetric!

I get them and actually make me feel better because out of the long list of transcriptionists, there is less than 5% that actually meet all their stupid criteria so it actually makes me feel better. I make it here and there, but normally there is always one category that they will get me for so I ignore them and take comfort that there are others like me out there too

My TSM started sharing everyone's metrics (just their employee ID, so no identifying info given), and what I had commented that I noticed before was that people that had higher straight typing percentages had lower LPH's, and those with nearly all speech, it was higher.

Most of the people with at least 50% straight typing were not hitting their line counts. And this week we had several people whose make-up pay was quite a big chunk!

Actually, if they really looked at the number of people entering OOW on their time cards (which I have a friend that works here and her boss told her not to enter that as it "makes her look bad" on the report. HA!) and really took a good look at the metrics, they'd realize that yes, there are some that can produce thousands of lines a day, but most of us can't. Not with the restrictions, lack of good work, etc. They would realize that they are underpaying us (if they're having to give so many people make-up pay, maybe it's not that those people are slow, but maybe the work is harder than they think) and that they have backed themselves into a corner trying to offer 99% accuracy with such short turn around times across the board and under-bidding the competition!

I don't sweat it one bit. They can stick their metrics where the sun doesn't shine as far as I'm concerned!

Okay, I know there is a way to listen to our old reports but for some reason I cannot do it anymore. When I open up the dictation search and click on the speaker button to listen, I get a blank escription audio window that pops up with nothing. Any ideas? ...

I'm wondering, how many reports on average are pulled each week for audit? Does anyone find it varies, for example, they may pull 1 or 2 one week then 7 or 8 (that are all 100% accurate) the next week, but keep pulling until they find something to knock down your accuracy rating for that pay week so you end up with 12 or 13 reports audited? ...

Does anyone know or maybe even make an educated guess...how much a hospital might pay per line to have Nuance do their reports? We are guessing somewhere .12 to .15 upwards to .20/line. Of course they are claiming that this will save them all sorts of money and we'd like to know if they are really going to save as much as they think they are. For my last pay period I did not recieve my pay (part-time at Breitner). I would be very happy today if someone would smack the doctor I am typing in the back of the head and say SLOW DOWN DUMMY!!
