Seems to me at the very least, ASR should be programmed to not do this since we were specifically told not to.

Because it filters through every report. I trained the original ASR and it worked great, right up until the minute they released it to everyone. You could tell to the day when it happened..But at least ASR could be programmed so that rules in the MT guide are done correctly.

whatever happened to using the AAMT Book of Style for the MTs rules and use of the English and medical language? That's one of those things MTs should be able to point out to these seemingly almighty MTSOs and report reviewers. JOS

On page 11 under the conjunction section, it shows "Ms. Smith..." with a period after Ms. I was also told that the TSG trumps BOS so I leave the period.

The Style Guide is essentially the Bible at MModal. No matter what your PC tells you, go by the Style Guide. This is what the auditors use. You're PC needs to be corrected. My PC a few months ago said to use Ms with a period.

THIS is exactly the trivial ridiculousness that slows down our ability to do a great job, makes for a stressful environment, and requires ridiculous levels of QA, QC, graphs, grading, emails, etc.

The dictator could CARE LESS about this kind of stuff and would probably laugh uproariously if told that we are made to do research and scroll/flip through pages of specs to see if we are "allowed" to put a period after Ms. Insane. What is MModal thinking, and how in the world do they think this works as a successful business model?!

I was told about a year ago by a QA person to put a period after Ms. Maybe it'll always be the opposite of whatever we do, so we can be marked off for it and made to look ignorant.

We were told recently a doctor was complaining about the quality of our reports. I thought that strange as he has no accent and speaks very clearly.
