OMG! Just got email from CCM regarding bonus for - which is surprisingly great.sm

Our accounts are so backed up due to yesterday's system fiasco (over 3500 minutes on backlogs) that CCM just sent out an email that we are getting $10 extra per hour for hours over our scheduled shift. This is over and above OT pay for those extra hours. This is starting today at 3 pm eastern and ending tomorrow at 3 pm eastern.

I never go for the ridiculous incentive bonuses that MM offers because, like everyone knows, they are pretty much unattainable, but this bonus is well worth me putting in extra time. Almost reminiscent of the great bonuses we used to get when work was backed up.

They can and will pay out a decent bonus if they are desperate enough and it sounds like they are. Take full advantage of that one. We had one similar to that last week and I made over $100 just on bonus hours not including OT and line count.

What region? - I would love to get in on it!

I'm in the north. We have the incentive in place, and today it was increased to 4 cpl above normal line rates for the extra lines, but sure would like to go for the extra bucks per hour. I got that bonus once in the last six months or so and I earned an extra $75 just for working my day off, plus got paid for the lines I did. It was awesome.

....that they could get enthusiastic and willing help to keep the work moving if only they paid MTs what they're worth. Not many people want to give up personal or family time in the evenings, on the weekend, or on their days off when they'll only be making a pittance. Pay people well, and you'd have pleasant employees AND keep the work within TAT all the time.

I'm fairly new around here and work in the south. I've been getting work from the north here and there since the "crisis" but I can never pull up anything in DocQmanage. Is that normal since I'm not usually in that region or what?

I occasionally have gotten work from other regions too and have been frustrated when I can't pull up anything in DQM but my regular accounts. If you know you're going to be in a certain BOB/region for the day, you could ask the CCM (or your own CCM) for a list of company codes. It sure makes things much easier to have access to the repository -- if you're lucky enough to be working in a BOB where the QC person has added examples. Also I think there might be a "universal" company code which gives you admin access to all the accounts. I'm not 100% sure about that; might be worth asking about though if you're going to be out of your own area for an extended period of time. Hope this helps! Good luck.

No. Must first complete scheduled hours and then bonus kicks in - for extra hours worked.

CCM stands for client care manager. They supervise, among other things, the MTs. Notice this posting is under the M*Modal board.

We got an email too regarding the North - South region

Apparently, we MTs in the South region are having the North accounts added to our workpools in order to help out when we run out. Enjoy the bonus while you can, as soon as the South runs out (which is often), they will be the equivalent of locusts, and we didn't get any incentive to do so.

About time they spread the work around - so inconsistent

Some with mandatory OT for weeks/months on end, some with NJA every day. While I love to hear about some getting a decent bonus it is good that those without work are getting some finally.

And every MT I know has been contacted by M-Modal - wanting to hire them

everybody with NJA so let's hire some more people. I had dinner last night with some of my old in-house friends and several told me of getting calls just this week from M-Modal. Unbelievable.

Thank you for my Q2 bonus, the first ever for me. However, I really could have used the money during the last 3 months. If divided up over those 3 months, I would not have had to borrow money for food. Please reconsider this punitive bonus plan you have. The money would be better served in my paychecks. We used to get the monthly production bonus as a separate check on the 25th. I didn't get a separate check for this although I should have qualified. Paltry as it is, every little bit helps. I do see an "incentive bonus" on my regular paystub, but I'm not sure if this is from some past incentive I have since forgotten about or if they are now just putting the regular monthly bonus on one statement along with our regular pay. Have you found that it's getting less and less for the VERY SAME AMOUNT OF LINES? I got a smaller bonus (piddly as it is) this month for MORE lines than I produced a few months ago and got a larger bonus for. I know the bonus is pretty much based on some kind of whim and/or some computations that require a master's degree in mathematics to figure out, but it would sure be nice if they could be consistent. TransTech in TX is offering a $500 sign on bonus for experienced oncology MTs & MEs. Perhaps the tables are turning. I'm already working as one, but am not the least bit happy with the account as the reports are only a few seconds long and the busy work between each one takes longer than the transcription - thus you are not paid for half the work you do.
