It amazes me that we are getting no bonus gift card or anything for Christmas this year. We are owned by a "global corporation." My son works for a large established country club golf course part-time, has been with them for 2 years and got a $100.00 bonus.

The crappy company I work for hasn't even given us a Christmas card! But I'm not surpised since they suck all around.

But then again, this past year I won the cookie and candy "tower" during MT week and they deducted the cost of it from my paycheck ($30) so I'd be scared to death to get a bonus from Medquist.

Not to be mean, I don't intend it to be mean, but that last post about the cookie and candy prize you won, I just cracked up. I just can't believe a company would actually do that to you, but then again, I can. I got a gift card one year from my company for Christmas and I had to pay the tax on it before picking up the gift card. Wow, Merry Christmas, right?

I won an electronic prize one year during MT week. It was made by Phillips and that was when Phillips owned the majority of the company's stock so I'm sure it didn't cost MQ anything. I also had to pay taxes on my prize. Took all the fun out of it.

Just got a free DVD rental from Netflix for being a valued customer.

Too bad my employer doesn't value its MTs. I wonder if the staff got something? I'll bet they did!!

I got one too; and I think they rewarded the customers that stuck with them through everything. However, this is also a good way to boost sales and keep their customers happy. They have taken a hit lately with some bad press, and this is a good way to start bringing their customers back..they lost quite a few. I like Netflix and still enjoy the convenience of the films coming to me, and I don't have to take them back. Merry Christmas everyone!!

wonder they give nothing anymore. True, Chapstick and a mouse pad are not great gifts, but they were something. Seems q cant win for losing on this board. Not a suit, a bought out squidette who is just trying to make it work

They send chocolate on Valentine's and that's it. Oh, one January I did get a few bucks.....less then $50 in a gift card.

I'm amazed by the number of people grousing about not getting a holiday bonus. If you get a bonus, it's a gift, be grateful. If you don't, so what. You have a job and there is nothing requiring anyone to give anyone else a gift.

Just thought I would give a public shout out to Synernet for the $100 gift card! They've been taking a good bit of heat on this board lately (some of it deserved), but I believe we should be just as quick with our appreciation when merited as we are with our venom. There are many in this industry going through similar changes as we at Synernet (feast/famine, VR, low wages), but I guarantee most of them are not getting a gift like this to try to help ease the suffering. Of all the MQ employees here scheduled to work on Saturdays, has anyone been approved to have off Christmas Day? I put in my request exactly 60 days ahead of time (since we can't do it before that) and have yet to hear anything.
