For MQ part-timers who work 24 hours/week... - sm

how many of you only work 3 or 4 days per week (24 hours). Do you split your schedule up and work only a few hours at a time? I'm considering working only 3-4 days per week instead of my usual 5 and would like to know how you schedule your hours. Thank you!

I work 2 hours a day 5 days a week (but scheduled 11 hours total, not always working that many) rather than very many hours a day and actually I usually work an hour or so every day of the week as I hate working for the Q but don't want to just work for 1 company as I have been burned more than once with no warning that my job was going to be gone the next day.

Do flex part-timers get any PTO or not? - nm

I had been working 6 hours 4 days a week (Thurs-Sun) but due to a family obligation I changed to 8 hours 3 days a week (Fri-Sun), as I work the 24-hour week shift. It is a little tough to be on the clock for 8 hours but actually the amount of actually working time is not 8 hours. I picked weekends because that is when the work is most available and even though those "incentives" are absurd, hey 3 more cents a line for an 8-hour shift is 3 more cents a line.

I am looking for heavy part-time. When you are part-time at MQ, what kind of schedule can you take? Are weekdays with some weekend available? I suppose I should ask the recruiter this, but I'm afraid they will just tell me what they think I need to hear.

I work 24 hours. Two week days I work 7.5 hours with an hour and a half break in between and the other 2 days I work 4.5 hours in the afternoon. This allows me 3 mornings a week to run errands and get in an exercise class schedule a trip to the salon or doctors appointment, etc. As a regular part timer with 24 hours a week, I do get PTO. I average a little over 3 hours a pay period.

I just read on MQ Central that as a part-timer you are eligible for "partial" benefits. I had asked on this board before if part-timers were eligible for health insurance and was told no. I am starting to wonder if Transcend has more part time workers than full time, excluding the TLs. It just seems like it is such a fight to get enough work to be full time. It also seems like it saves them in the long run to not provide insurance and now gift cards at Christmas if they have more part timers, just my feeling. ...

A year ago I lost my primary and had to transfer to a new CCM, she was getting a new account that only sent us work evenings and weekends, so to keep my job I chose those hours but then as time went on asked to have some day hours on other accounts. Our hospital is being outsourced to MModal. The offers are supposedly there and ready but for some reason they haven't passed them on to us yet. I was wondering how many hours are required for part-time and if you can work a flexible shift. If I can work part-time with a split shift I may consider taking the offer. Hi. I'm wondering for those of you who either attend/attended M-Tec or Andrews, about how many hours per week do you spend on the classes (total, including all studying)? M-Tec's website says 25-30 hours. Do you find this to be accurate? I did not see an answer on the Andrews website.
