Why do I hear nothing when I send my resume to these companies? - Why is it so hard

Company I work at right now is really slow and I am making like 150.00 a month and I desperately need a 2nd job but every single company I apply to, I never hear anything back. I am not a newbie...I have experience. It is just so frustrating. I know my resume looks good.

also applying. They simply cannot answer every single application they receive. If they are interested they will call. Just keep on sending them out.

What happened to me and many others was you heard nothing, and then a few got back at once! Don't get discouraged!

I'm sorry you're having a hard time. Did you try calling any of the companies? Some people have luck sending a cover letter with the resume. If you know someone who works at one of the companies you are interested in, you can ask them to put a good word for you or even ask them for the first and last name of the person who does the hiring - just something to get your toe in the door. Don't give up and try not to get too frustrated. Good luck to you!

I have around 11 years experience, with at least 8 of those years being from my home. I have a great resume. I have been through TWO separate hour-and-a-half-long tests online. Still haven't heard from ANYone. :(

I have been doing MT for almost 15 years, and the one company I have been with for the past 9 years is suddenly getting less and less work. I'm looking to get out of my job in a bad way and my resume was less than pretty. I ran across this site and it was awesome. It's free to update your resume but charges to print or email, copy, etc. But for a cover letter and resume was only $2.95 but will auto-renew at $34 if you don't cancel within 2 weeks. After getting mixed messages as to how many blanks in a report are needed in order to be automatically sent to QA, I finally have the final number of needing a minimum of 5 blanks. on-call back-up MTs for the Labor Day weekend? Makes me laugh. She always expects this unforeseen deluge of reports because, gosh, you just never can tell when those doctors will start dictating hundreds of reports over the holiday. one sentence. YOU HAVE TO REDICTATE THIS REPORT BECAUSE THE AUDIO IS SUCH CRAP THAT I COULD ONLY HEAR EVERY OTHER WORD AT BEST. Seriously!
