does any one have recent info on them? i think i read somewhere that they are not as friendly or one big family as their posting says they are. i also read somewhere that the owner is bipolar and that there is a transcription school attached to them, that their pay is low, and you get a million and one emails a day. i don't want to take their test and be told i failed even though i passed test.

also, i am looking for information on one-on-one information services. they have a job posting on mt daily. i can't find anything on them at all. i googled them and nothing came up. i sent them a resume the last time they posted an opening and never heard from them at all.

i would appreciate any and all information that any one has to share with me.

Everything you read in the archives is true. Nothing has changed. The ones that consider themselves happy are people who can ignore Dani's rants without taking them personally and enjoy working 7 days a week.

From my resume posted here inviting me to apply. I researched them and decided not to apply as they reportedly hire newbies and have a chat room where all are required to go before leaving a blank and are also required to read all the questions from newbies every day. So, if this is true, they are basically are having their experienced MTs do more free labor training the newbies that have graduated from their school. If you are a newbie, go for it, but I'm sick of having to provide a bunch of free labor when our line rate today is insulting enough! MTSO standard reply to this is "it doesn't take that long" so why don't they just do all this free labor themselves? Because when you add it all up - it does take too long.

I do like the idea of a chat room for work help, but I think most of us are experienced enough to know that if we have to leave a blank, QA will too.

tnx. I got an email from them too. their typing test is 15 minutes long. which tells me that they may be using us to catch up on their work then tell us we didn't pass test when in reality we did.

besides I don't feel like working for someone who is bipolar or getting a million emails a day; been there done that.

One place worked for had so many sending emails to "all" whether or not they had anything to do with transcription and we were required to read every single one of them, regarding helping with bake sale half way across the US, etc. Very time consuming and frustrating.

I also read the comments about bi-polar and would never work under one.

I am in my second month of the grace period at said company. Most of the emails I get do not apply to me. They just have to be sent out so you know which accounts are late. That being said, after Sunday, i wanted to quit transcription altogether. I have no feedback on what my QA is and when I have my eval they can say bye, bye right then and there if they want. Little nervous about that as I was laid off from the last job I had before them. I was hourly and this transition is hard. Especially when I have to feed a family with two incomes, not one.

they were family oriented, that they were one big family. they said that their MTs/QA/management all worked hard together. I figured that was not the truth. besides one of the owner's (female) is bipolar.

I got laid off too in November and still have not found anything yet. I am still looking.

First and foremost, InScribe does not use "live" reports for their applicant testing, never has and never will. So Transportal now gets caught! Wage and Hour walks in their doors and audits their payroll and they are made to pay out MTs that were not paid minimum wage or overtime. When are these MTSOs going to stop thinking that because we work on production that we do not come under Wage and Hour laws! They're supposed to send transcription test today. It's been a few wks since I applied so forget what ad said. Found some posts in archives and somewhat concerned. One said they use "tests" to get actual work done, hired but never heard from again, another said scam (from 2006), pay 7.5 cents for 17 yrs of exp with clunky platform, and so on. Not much in archives & I just started IC with them as a temp position until I find something better. The pay is not great but it is per 63 character line count and the acute account I'm on double spaces PE section so that helps. Platform is DocQscribe which has to be the easiest one I've ever used out of M*Modal/eScription..etc. The speech rec is not as precise as eScription but on the + positive side this IS the 1st company that doesn't QA NITPICK unnecessar ...

Ask your CCM tonight to temporarily help out in the South if you are NJA. I hate to draw people to my accounts and risk running out of work, but considering these accounts are going to go late in a couple of hours and they have already threatened to leave if TATs aren't met, it's worth the risk. I just wonder who the bonehead is who handles workflow. I wouldn't think it would be that hard to look at the statistics and move some NJA people to fill in some gaps.&nb ...
