Anyone have any experience/knowledge of Inscribe.us? I am about to get offered a job with them for either straight transcrition or VR editing? Their line rate seems to be very good for both.

I wasn't disparaging daisy22 nor was I jealous. Quit stirring the pot. My question was simply has she tested and interviewed already and what did she mean by "about" to be offered? That's all...an innocent question turned into drama!

This company outright sucks as they hire you as an independent contractor and try to nag at you and complain like your an employee with the owner always threatening termination as some sick sort of persuasion. I can honestly say having worked for this company that they are nothing worth talking about and if you decide to work there then watch your back because there are a lot of brown noses there that will pretend to be your friend and then say something behind your back that will make you look bad, and the IT dept there is very dis-organized there and it's a pain in the a** to get help when your down and can't work. I honestly say I'm better off having moved on to a better company.

Well, I was offered the job after intense typing tests. Frankly, I was surprised I passed. Anyway, I spoke to a gal almost a month ago and we made out a schedule and chose which accounts I will be working on. Had the software installed last Friday and still waiting to hear from "someone" about log in IDs and my New Hire Buddy.

I see a constant ad for Inscribe on Job Seeker's Board and to me this is not a good sign. However, before I jump to that conclusion I was wondering if anyone has worked for them and what your experience has been. I looked at their site and was tired just reading all of the steps to just take their test. I have experience in brick & mortar transcription, but not so much online. A little. Graduated a few months ago from an online MT school. Took test for Inscribe. Great test. Did well. Pleasant interview. IC on weekends. Sent me all the forms & I completed them, and THEN I went to the IT guy for an install. I've an old, 2nd hand computer, but I keep it humming fine. Okay, I know InScribe LLC (Kentucky) has been on the Boards multiple times (at least monthly, if not weekly, it seems), but I just noticed they have a “Premium” ad at the top of the Job Seeker’s Board. I guess these “Featured Listings” are not free, as the other listings are. Hello MTs! I recently submitted application and tests document to InScribe US and was informed that although I did "well" on the test, I was slightly below their standards. They have invited me to participate in their internship program, take 4 of their learning modules, and work with someone one-on-one to bring me up to their standards. This is to cost $400. I was just wondering if anyone out there works for Inscribe or has taken their test for employment. I took the test and it was incredibly hard with ESL dictators. Just spoke with them and they hire IC and say you can pretty much work whenever you want as long as you make minimum counts. Pay is only .07 for typing or VR but they use own VR system that sounds interesting, you repeat what was dictated. Any info on them would be helpful. Thanks ...

I reviewed comments on InScribe going back to 2005 and the only positive comment I could find is that they pay on time. A red flag was that they hire newbies and require that you go to an MT chat room and send the audio to another MT to listen to when you have to leave a blank before sending it to QA. There was also a comment that you are required to read all the comments in the chat room. Can anyone confirm this is the case? If so, it sounds like they use the seasoned MT ...
